From 6am until 10pm on September 6th, 2017, Classic FM has broadcasted live from Dumfries House, one of Britain’s most beautiful stately homes. This year is also the special 10th anniversary for Dumfries House. In 2007, the estate and house were saved for the nation by His Royal Highness, The Prince of Wales.
The day of double celebrations has culminated in an exclusive recital, which was in the presence of Their Royal Highnesses, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall (known as HRH The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay and The Duchess of Rothesay when they are in Scotland).
Ji Liu was one of the guest performers alongside with Aled Jones and Myleene Klass. Ji Liu performed pieces by Chopin and Liszt from his top-charted albums. There was also a world premiere performance of Twilight Falls on Temple View by the acclaimed Welsh composer Paul Mealor – written about Dumfries House, especially for the celebration.
